And so the tree stared down on me

Intrusive and voyeuristic with a guilt staining its leaves

swaying in a breeze that my body hardly felt

Vulnerable in its deceit filled towering strength

And I spat back up,

mocking its stare

allowing it to gaze n envy upon a superior being

that could fell it with means

I may never have but could

And perish beneath its weight.
