You’re safe with me
Because your darkness is blinding next to mine.
You’re safe with me
Because your desperation is humility in my humiliation.
I weaken myself for you, because you close my wounds with your open displays.
I fail for you, to watch you reach where I dare not to even see.
I speak for you, when your voice is knotted in the ignorance of the herd.
I cry for you, when you smile and laugh, to perpetuate your joy.
I try for you, as resistance becomes too much to bear.
And tear myself apart so you can be put back together again.
And when I sin I consume yours like a confession, because there’s no force in any world that can make me cast a stone.
I’m more you than me, and the more I disappear, the more you I see.
And if it’s you I’ll be, then you are me…and together we.
And so forever be.
You’re safe with me.
